-08.24.08- School Has Begun!
My summer is officially over. :-( School has started and I am already stressed with homework. I have the first test of the year tomorrow. That's AP classes for you. There is a downside to being smart. I am happy that I am smart enough to make it into all AP classes, but there is a LOT of homework involved. :-O Fortunately, I still have time to go to church and to have a social life.
All my friends from last year either failed or I have no classes with them. So I've had to make brand new friends. I spent three years improving my social life, and now that I'm in high school I have to start over. UGH! I have made some friends, however. So it's not all bad. I have a friend in all my classes except P.E., Intro to Finance, and Business Tech (typing class). I can stand not having anyone to talk to in intro to Finance and Business Tech, but I have to have someone to talk to in P.E. It can be SO boring walking around a track in silence. Many times you have to group up, and I will have no one. I'll end up being the only person without a partner.
Also, I'm happy that I'm being given more independence, but because I'm not in a clique yet, I have NOWHERE to sit at lunch. So I just stand there until I find somewhere to sit. It is so humiliating! Even having friends wouldn't help, though. The lunchroom is too small. People are everywhere! You can't sit anywhere without disturbing somebody's conversation. It is extremely annoying.
I hope it gets better after a while. but right now, I'm just trying to make it in high school.
